Hello, I personnally use a similar roation/opener as described in the 1st guide you posted and I find it to be the opener I'm the most comfortable with.
Regarding TP management, you will have TP issues in long fights. There are 2 ways of dealing with those issues.
1 : Use envigorate as soon as your reach 600 TP. Also use purification if you need to. Remember to charge your chakra stacks at every downtime.
2 : Have a Ninja in your party and ask for Goad ^^
I can also come from bad aoe rotation, rockbreaker is good on 3+ targets, don't waste it on 2 targets. Even at 3 targets, multi dotting can be a good alternative. Also in a dungeon, don't spam Rock breaker too much so you end up completly dry, save enough TP to be able to end the current pull
I also use my own variation of the first opener you listed.
As has been said chances are you're using moves that are too tp heavy too frequently, however it may be worth checking your SS, if it's too high then it could be contributing to your issue, I can do just fine on my own with just invigorate (no need for purification) in all duties except for A9S where I do require atleast 1 goad or song due to the huge amount of dps uptime in that fight.
monk has one of the easiest rotation over all the main rotation is really simple and opener is basicly just use PB to gain stacks fast not a real big opener so.
more important are positionals in a fight also like be glued on the target since about 25% of your damage is just by stay close to the boss :D really easy.
also keep in mind that when someone use already dragon kick on the boss your dont need do it anymore use bootshine its a slightly nice dps gain.

I don't disagree that monk is an easy rotation but dumbing it's opener down to just PB and stacks is a bit simplistic really? You do have to use b4b, ir etc correctly to optimise buffing all your gcds and ogcds during the opener. But compared to something like say sumoner, monk is a complete cakewalk in terms of opener complexity.
