Now it sucks to be monk on the east coast...

Since the server move i'm having hard time with my rotation and my opener. Global cooldown is slower and the weapon skills are not queued properly(i used to press button a fraction of second before the gcd refresh)and now i have to press the button at the right time or just after if i use offgdc

The offgcd skills are not responding as they should also. I used to spam offgcd before the server move but now i have to spam even more. I've noticed also a bigger skill lock on certain offgdc skills like shoulder tackle, forbiden chakra and tornado kick(now i have to spam tornado kick to activate the skill)

I'm frustrated because i'm playing on ps4 and i need to swap crosshotbar all the time. If the damn skill doesn't activate and i'm swaping crosshotbar i have to backtrack. So i'm loosing a lot dps just because the game became unresponsive. Bring back the damn servers on the east coast or remove the damn skill lock on every offgcd

You'll just have to settle for slightly lower dps while you adjust to your new speed.

A great advice!

I'd say stop using Coeurl Form skills in your combo and start again from Bootshine instead. That way, you don't get greased lightning stacks and have more time to weave in OGCD abilities.

When you get a bit more advanced, you can use 3 combos in a row and instantly use Tornado Kick to increase your DPS a little. Proceed not getting stacks until it's off CD again.

Yup. East coast monks were the only ones capable of pulling off MNK dps prior. The job was utterly impossible once you got a certain distance from the data center.

Good news: as a job that's only ever allowed for single-weaving for the majority of its uptime you're less affected by the increased latency than probably every single other job.

I could see having more trouble as a MCH maybe but as a MNK...? Monk was definitely playable for me at 140-180ms (West coast) before the move because double weavings were the exception, not the rule

I used Monk pretty well when the servers were in Montreal. I live in Hawaii btw, so it is very far during that time. Not much of a problem for me on my end.
