Gardening help

Hey everyone decided to get into gardening. So I've did some research and I just want some people to back up what I've searched to see if it's good or not.

Step 1 Gather
Gather Almond Seeds
Gather Mandrake Seeds
Gather Chamomile Seeds
Gather Grade 3 thanalan topsoil
Buy Krakka seeds

Step 2 first plant
Bed 1
Krakka seeds (any soil(?)) + Chamomile seeds (than 3) = Curiel Root or Pearl Ginger
Bed 2
Almond seeds (than 3) + mandrake (than 3) = Pearl Roselle or Nymeia Lilly

bad luck = repeat step 2
good luck = move on to step 3

Curiel Root and Nymeia Lilly = success
pearl roselle = might be ok
pearl ginger = junk(?)

Step 3 second plant
Bed 1
Repeat one of the step 2 beds
Bed 2
Nymeia Lilly (than 3) + Curiel Root (than 3) = Thav Onion or Shroud tea(?)(if this is right, i'm not sure I want to do all this work for a chance at shourd tea)

(alternatively I can use the pearl roselle I got from step 2 to with my mandrake to make jute/kingtom)

thav onion = success
shroud tea = junk

Step 4
Plant Onion seeds, with any soil, not worrying about crossbreed(?)

This has basically all info on gardening in FFXIV, including crosses to obtain specific outcomes and even a garden planner to see how to best set it up.

I can't confirm if that will work or not myself. I believe I made some garlic jesters first, then crossed those with mandrake for the pearl roselle. I made Mimett Gourd with Mandrake & krakka to cross with the pearl roselle for the onions. This probably takes longer, but you get garlic jesters out of it and a chance at some onion prince seeds. :)

Dustytome, yes I've looked at your seed trails using the site posted by Lelila38, it's easy to get lost and confused when 1 seed leads to 10 seeds that lead to 50 seeds but at a quick glance your cycle takes 1 more plant cycle which maybe 3-6 days or however long it is, but it removes a chance for junk on one of the planting stages.

I perhaps should clean up my post with some edits to show things that I really am not sure of. I'll put a (?) in there.

Some tips:

• Old World Fig + Prickly Pineapple gives Glazenuts, which sell for decent gil. You can use them in place of Nymeia Lilly. The seeds you gather are from unspoiled nodes, and you can get 15 per node.
• Linseed and Krakka gives Pahsana Fruit, which you can cross with the Glazenuts to get your onions. Linseeds yield Flax, which sells.
• You can use grade 3 Shroud soil on the Krakka and Linseed, there's a lower chance of getting seeds, but you'll get 9 at a time when you do.

That looks like a better route, that's just what I'm looking for, thanks.
