Hi there,
So for some reason my mouse cursor has become enlarged and an odd, distorted, blurry version of its original self after maintenance. I've been trying to solve the issue on my own but I seem to have hit a wall.
Did this happen to anyone else's cursor? It's still functional, it's just a little disorientating and I have a feeling if I continue to try and solve it on my own, I may not be able to find an actual solution.
Anyone have any ideas?
Fixed.
Somehow "Disable fullscreen optimizations" under the program's properties and compatibility became unchecked, possibly due to the latest Windows update. *shrug*
That was a lot of effort and running around, but at least there's not a huge blurry object constantly on my screen, lol.
Nevermind. Reversed itself. Not sure what's causing this still. Can't seem to fix it again like earlier today.
I also been having the same issue except my cursor is extremely small.
So I found that this order (oddly) resizes the mouse cursor back to its normal size: boot up computer, sign out of Windows account, sign back in, and THEN log in to FFXIV.
Try this, see if it works for you as well? I'm assuming you're also on Windows, but it might still work otherwise..? I don't know if it will do it 100% of the time, but it seems to be...
I've been messing with the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" option under "compatibility" and that doesn't seem to be the cause; it doesn't make a difference for the mouse cursor, at least in this instance.
Yea, logging out then back in on Windows does at least allow me to play with a normal sized cursor. I tried all the different DPI scaling options for the dx11 client, but no luck.
