XIV dead (again)!

The NA datacenter was moved to a location improving the ping of more than 50% of datacenter's playerbase, but players that had see their ping moving from the 10ms to an unplayable 100ms vere not happy of losing their special status from 10ms to 100ms deemed that amount of ping makes the game unplayable to them and is enough to warrant a termination of their subscription. Many players quit the game at this point, causing SE to take the servers offline because the game was no longer profitable.

If it ever got to that point, they'd probably just move one of the data centers, either Ather or Primal, back to the East Coast, or in the very least a central location like Dallas.
Although that's probably what they should have done in the first place. Blizzard has kept four separate Data centers across the U.S. (L.A., Chicago, Dallas, and New York, I believe) to cover the entire country for years. Seems kind of silly to move both data centers to the same location.

Im playing with 110ping to begin with - august 2013! O_O No issues! Can play the game like its an offline game.

Now I have 180 Ping!! And NO Big differences! its like 97% the same!

Im from EU/Germany btw! :P

This is why I never play on a region I'm not in. Always pick EU if you are in EU. I know the servers were in US first but I still picked EU. I knew eventually they were going to have to move the EU servers they can't keep it in the US due the experience EU players were having.

OH NO WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE BY MEGAFLARE. I WAS SO SCARED I RAN OUT THE DOOR I DIDN'T TAKE NO SHOES OR NOTHING.

Why should i pick EU servers to play with ppl i absolutely don't care about if there are ppl that i have known for years but omg they are not european? I don't wanna be limited to a special group of ppl just because i was born on the wrong side of the world...

And what about americans that do live and work abroad? Should they be splitted from their friends and families even more? Just because they have to do their job for a year or two?

In all honesty 100 is nothing you can raid all day with np.

Everything around 100 is perfectly fine, the only people with a legit right to complain are those who suddenly jumped into the 200-300 range. And even then it probably won't affect you unless you do savage raids.
