Finaly more stuff, I hope they release the job skill trailer soon aswell.
Something thing I noticed:
- Alisaie is a Red Mage and in alot of the scenes, she is with the WoL. Could this mean Alphinaud is being replaced? On the other hand, Lyse is in almost all scenes, the ones in Ala Mhigo and Doma region... I think Lyse will be the new Alphinaud.
That trailer makes me think about going back to Au ra, love the new Au ra lore! :D
Interesting to see confirmation that Alisaie is in fact a Red Mage. I know some people had always assumed so, but her new abilities shown in 3.4 seemed so far removed from anything we'd seen of Red Mage that I wasn't convinced. But now we see her skills brought in line with the Job proper, which is cool.
Also interesting to note that Lyse isn't wearing the same outfit that she does in the Trailer, which makes me wonder if she might change at some point? Both outfits are very nice... wonder if both are gonna wind up on the MogStore before too long >.>
Besides that, loads of cool moments that I can't wait to see in full and proper context in the game itself. Like Lyse's confrontations with that Garlean-trained girl, or Y'shtola and Yugiri's separate confrontations with Zenos.
I don't know who that mysterious antagonistic looking woman in the kimono was but I love her already.
Good spot, awesome trailer <3
Never saw how there was doubt Alisaie was a RDM. She pulled a rapier from that book.

Some interesting scenes shown (and remembering the similar Dragonsong video before Heavensward's release, I'm going to stop short of theorizing the context of said scenes, other than, as fitting for a song named 'Revolutions', indeed it seems all hell ends up breaking loose in both Ala Mhigo and in Doma... which makes me wonder just how steep the cost in blood is going to be... on both sides.
Also I wryly smiled at the brief scene where someone paints "Liberty or death" on a wall, cleverly referencing the famous quote from the American Revolution, appropriately enough. :)
As for the song, it's okay, I just didn't feel... I don't know... 'grabbed' by it - it seemed to lack the dark despair of Answers or the melancholy of Dragonsong. That's not to say it's bad, not at all. It will probably end up growing on me in time though, especially once SB is released and I start playing through the expansion (and thus understand the context of the song and the scenes shown in that video better). Susan's vocals are still excellent as usual and Uematsu's score is beautiful. I guess I was just expecting something with more power, especially given the underlying subtext of war in the expansion.
Her is name is Yotsuya, this is her character description: The acting imperial viceroy of Doma, Yotsuyu's grace and beauty belie a heart of stone. A cruel, sadistic ruler, she harbors a deep hatred for Domans. Under the pretext of purging radical elements, she has perpetrated numerous atrocities against her own people. Yet all are the hero of their own story...
Her magical sword looked more like aether then a real rapier, so alot of players (myself included) thought that she was either a FFXIV orignal class or Magick Swordmans/Rune Fencer. Our Red Mage will have a Physical Rapier, but hers seems to be made from Aether.
Lol I'm glad I didn't go to sleep. How beautiful. I am soooooo excited.
