How to put more in FFXIV:ARR without making it more confusing.

Greetings everyone,

The developers are trying their hardest to come up with new ideas(and old with a modern touch) to keep us entertaned, and they have done well. We as a community don't have the authority to touch the game directly, but we can greatly influence what it could become. So, how to do that? with brilliant idea of course.

My idea is to make weapons with status effect (poison was my favourite from FFX). I miss when my weapons did something on their owns. This may reduce the DOT actions in the future(sorry summoners), but then the developers will focus on the weapons than adding more abilities that might need 5 tabs that cover 1/4 of my exrta-wide 8K screen, which is confusing. RNG was something missing from the game(exluding the pink gear). Random elements in weapons. DOT-extra DMG-Spread DMG(lightning)-..ect.

ideas after ideas. People always wonder "if", but they rarely try. Post your idea that might help our beloved developers create "miracles".

So you've touched on the problem that is trying to keep track of your own DoTs. I feel like devs should be working on that, not by adding dot effects to weapons but actually working on the DoT UI so we don't get lost over whose dot is it.

Also, even if you're idea is implemented, without adhering to the above problem, the situation remains.

So let's fix that first. Then add more DoTs to the game.
