Lore of Sylphlands?

The Sylphlands seems to be the biggest tribe area but I can't seem to find much reason to go there or find much about the lore.

There's a lot of unique places in there and some areas seem very city like. What is the purpose of the Grove area? Why is the Aetheryte in such an arbitrary spot.... couldn't it have been in the Grove?

I haven't admittedlyrics done alot within the tribe quests tgough...

From what I remember, the Sylphlands was the home of all the Sylphs before they summoned Ramuh. After that, the Sylph who were tempered ran the none-tempered ones out.

As far as reasons to go there, its a beast tribe stronghold and like the others it only exists as a place for the players to go during beast tribe quests.

And it's so pretty! D: The Sylphlands is my favorite area in the game in terms of aesthetic~.

As for lore surrounding the area... I think all we know about it is what's covered in the general lore behind the Sylphs.

The aetheryte is out of the Sylphlands because it's hostile territory (it'd be like putting your helipad in the middle of a cannibal village); most Gridanians wouldn't venture inside the Sylphlands (and, pre-HW, most WoL wouldn't, either, since there's frogs, ranged mobs and even being lvl50 you'd get aggroed by everything) since they know they'd get attacked on sight, and the friendly sylphs guarding the entrance would probably dissuade them from going in.

The touched sylphs inhabit the Sylphlands and the non-tempered ones were driven out for fear of being forcibly tempered, the non-tempered sylphs are actually friendly and that's why they're closer to the Gridanian settlement. As for specific areas inside them like the Goldleaf Dais and the Hanging Barbs, I do not know, maybe Moose does.
