Should we have a design an event/questline contest?

It doesn't have to be a timed event, but maybe a questline in game that a player gets to design, with even a quest reward they get to come up with as well.

We've seen the amazing type of stuff that people came up with for the Tank/Heal/DPS class glamour stuff, and I think this would be just as popular, if not a bit more so.

People would have to be able to keep it within the lore of the game, possibly 'stretch' things a bit to make things work within the world, and I'd like to see what kind of stuff players would come up with.

How should it work without spoiling the quest story?

This would be way fun.

For the community's eyes, players could submit the quest acceptance dialog box, you know the one that gives a brief one-liner about the quest's premise and tells you what the reward will be if you complete it. And maybe the journal entry (quest name, reward, description; not objectives and not summary). Then the objectives and detailed walkthrough can be reserved for the devs' eyes only.

I think they said it takes either 12 or 18 months (yes, you read that right) to design and implement an event so it's unlikely that we will get the chance to do so.

Only if its not linked to FATES, otherwise, I reckon the developers will go the easy route and pick a FATE.
