Patch File Error

Hello, I finally got some irl friends to finally get into the game. Both are on PC and both got the ARR+HW digital version of the game. They both are getting around 287MB and they get a "Failed to download" message. They both have tried reinstalling the game and the patcher. They have also been running the game on administrator. They both have been at it for at least 2 days with the same error. If anyone has any info it would be awesome!

Are they getting a message saying that specific Patch files cannot be downloaded. If so then they are amongst many with the same problem. SE refuses to address the problem saying that it is the fault of ISPs and this is reinforced by many subscribers who reiterate the SE policy without true knowledge. There are a number of so called fixes posted throughout the forum. They are welcome to try them. Good Luck
