Player memorial items?

About a month ago, one of our FC members passed away quite suddenly. Since then, our fc has been trying to think of ways we might honour her memory, or even to have our own wake for her, given that we are scattered across North America, and could only really connect via the game. One idea that came up was perhaps a tombstone furnishing for player housing, perhaps a repurposed model from the lichyard or Gorgagne mills, with an option to leave a message on it when placed. Obviously it would have to be an optional item for purchase on the mogstation, but our FC is more than willing to pay for such an item.

I can't imagine that our FC is the only one ever to have this kind of tragedy pass. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

My condolences about your FC mate, it's never easy when someone passes away. I don't know about gravestones in FFXIV but I know someone who made their retainer of one of their FC mates who passed away and put their retail outside of the FC. This is another option. Again my condolences.
