In addition to the stuff in Yeol's General tanking tips link above, I really suggest getting used to the enmity bars in the party list:

Those small bars that sit on top of everyone's job icons in the party list show the aggro status of your current target. If your own bar is red, you've got aggro. If someone else's bar turns yellow and gets close to filling, it means that person is close to ripping aggro from you and you might need to do something about it. To my knowledge, these bars aren't explained ingame at all but they're incredibly useful in optimizing your tanking play.
looks like the other two have you covered, my only comment about the emnity bars is don't fall into the habit that all of those aside from yours have to be completely empty at all times, it's fine if someone is at half, 3/4ths or even more of that bar, as long as they're not ahead of you
Those bars are not explained anywhere in game, and are INCREDIBLY useful when tanking. It's how I know aggro swaps are scripted, when to start hovering around Provoke (since I drop it between Skull Sunder and Butcher Block as my aggro reclaim), chasing down an add I missed, etc. And I didn't really use it until the last couple weeks or so.
This.
