Hello!~ New to the game :3

Hello everyone!~
As the title says im new to the game :D
I started a few days ago and im alrdy amazed at all the pretty things you can get xD
Since im alrdy at a bad start and spend my first money on a minion and the cheapest costume, i would like some tips for earning money if anyone is willing to share :D

I want to save all the minions, cute costumes, First Chocobo barding and ofc eventually a house.

Some questions i have:

1: Whats a good way to make money? (crafting maybe?)

2. If i buy a house for a FC do i still need to be lvl 50 and second lieutenant at my own grand company?

3. If i leave the FC while we got the house i assume, the house will stay with the FC?

4. I'm on Cerberus, is it very hard to get a house? And what are the prices generally for a small house for example.

5. I'm currently a Monk and when im 50 i would like to be a machinist, are both classes easy for beginners?

Last but not least. I would really like an Expanse Barding for my Chocobo<3 Is anyone willing to sell it for a decent price? ><

Crafting/gathering is typically the way to go for making gil although what sells and prices vary server to server (obviously)
This is not to say that you cant make money just from hunting stuff as a LOT of mats for recipies require monster drops. I would say get a retainer and toss what you have and wont use onto the mb (market board). You'd be surprise at how much random stuff is bought

I found monk is fairly easy once you learn your basic rotation.
MCH is easy to play but difficult to get efficient damage out of. You will often feel like you aren't contributing much damage in parties :/

unfortunately at this point you will not be able to get all the minions - some were only available from purchasing things like soundtracks and plushies that came with codes - those codes have now expired.

The gathering professions are great for money. Crafting can be great, but it takes a huge investment (multiple leveled up for cross-class skills and time spent gearing) to make the big money. Even so, you can make a bit if you're smart about it and find the right niches, even without being fully leveled with all the cross-class skills. I made a good amount from selling leather and a few items favored for glamours while leveling leatherworking.

I've made a lot of money running Aquapolis (the treasure map dungeon) with friends. This has been my fastest money maker, but people are usually too busy for it.

I've made a lot of money selling excess grand company seals (by buying things with the seals and selling them on market). This can be done with most of the currencies. Anytime you have the option of buying things that can be sold on market, check out the market rates and make sure you spend excess for the best selling stuff instead of capping the currency. This is my most reliable money maker.

Some dungeons can be soloed at higher levels and have rare materials that can be found in chests there. You can make some money selling those materials. 'Fine wax' from Haukke manor is one example. On my server, they often shoot up to 20k+ on market. I could get probably 10-15 an hour, but at that rate it would saturate the market, so I just sell a few here and there.

Wish i could help with that as my fc is always looking to recruit new comers to the game but we're on different servers. I wish you the best of luck though and many fun times in the future with a good fc o/

if you are skilled (and lucky enough) you can run Palace of the Dead at floors 150-200 and hope for a Night Pegasus Whistle to get from a gold trimmed sack. You can sell those on the marketboard - they can go from anywhere from 10 million gil to 25 million depending on what server you're on.
