Game Crash on Alt + Tab fullscreen

This has to be the most annoying glitch in the game. I searched everywhere on how to fix this and all I get is "play borderless windowed", well guess what I don't want to play borderless windowed and get 15 fps less in-game because square enix won't make their 14th game in their series have alt + tab compatibility. I played all day Saturday and I crashed 8 TIMES because of this. I can't look up guides or anything.
