For the first time, I've used materia on advanced gear (fire resistance), but... I wanted to use something for stun resistance (for PvP), but... Is there any materia for that in game? I've searched in MB but nothing.

Mhm, first off: Materia effects are disabled in PvP. So don't slot materia for PvP.
Second: Yes, such materia exists - it's all at a PvP vendor at the Wolves Den.
However, most PvE effects cannot be mitigated with it in the first place and like all materia they do not work in PvP and even if they would work in either, their effect would be negligible (think 1% chance to resist a trash mobs CC if you slotted your entire gear with it). Similar applies to resistance materia by the way - the effect is barely noticeable with a parser.
Oh yeah... Didn't remember materia doesn't work in PvP... xp Thanks.
im fairly new to pvp as well... and this is one of the things I haven't get yet.. anti-status-materia exist and even is buyable via a npc on the pvp-base map... so they were intended to get used in pvp, right? But in all pvp content itself materia is unabled? whats the sense of this... system? :o
edit: ah okay... just got told that materia worked in wolves back in the days... but than i wonder why SE disabled them for the other modes... or either why they don't remove them at all... there are enough useless items ingame...
A long time ago the materia slots used to work in PVP content. This was also a time when Morale actually did what it was supposed to, being it "raised" your item level in PVP. PVP gear back then also had a PVP rank requirement to be able to wear it.
However, SE wanted to make it much easier for newer people to get into PVP so they removed all 3 of these features so newer players actually had a chance against people with full PVP gear. Nowadays the PVP materia is just gil fodder.
The melding slots still have some use if you want to desynth the gear for leveling up your desynth skill easier.
For information sake: It still does that. You just get synced down to i150 stat caps afterwards.
It's not a substantial difference, but it means you can use the i180 PvP pieces in your set without worrying about loosing out on a handful of secondary stats due to the sub (lower) secondary stat not reaching the i150 cap. Morale pushes those pieces up over the cap and then syncs them to the cap.
actually morale did something else back then. morale was the replacement for defense and m-defense, wich means with 0 morale you had 0 defense, and it also increased your attack. since you needed a specific pvp rank to wear the pvp gear, new players had no chance to win against higher ranked people in full pvp gear.
they changed morale later so it raises your item level now, instead of being your defense stat with attack bonus.
