Unable to Update Patch Files [11006][20819][20890][19900][3]

So saw an old thread with this issue and the answer turned out that the SE folder and its subdirectories are set to Read Only.

so you'd think i had this problem solved.

you'd think wrong.

running on windows 8.1 and despite the fact that i tell the system to disable read only and apply the changes to all files and sub directories when i go back into the properties after "changing" it, the folder is always still set to read only which is btw preventing me from installing/updating ff14.

if any one has encountered this exact combination i would like to hear what the solution is.

most likely an ISP issue.

This has happened to me today. First time ever since I bought the game over 2 1/2 years ago. But I get error 30001 with the "Update Patch Files".

I uninstalled the game after three hours of not being able to log on. Now I'm attempting to reinstall the game and it's telling me at several intervals that the patch files have failed with multiple error codes like youre reporting. So yeah It's not my ISP. Sick of people stating it's ISP related. It's not. It's on their servers end. And it's annoying.
