Multiple Job Glamours - Any new information?

While I was talking with my FC about all the new jobs and we can expect to get out of them, we began talking about gear and how it may look in Stormblood. It was then I had a horrible realization. I play SMN and it is my favourite job throughout the final fantasy series. My second favourite job will be coming in Stormblood, namely the Red Mage.

Now when I play my roles, I usually like the use the artifact gear for the jobs, as I always like to wear the gear of the classic interpretations of the final fantasy jobs. But then I realised that come Stormblood, I won’t be able to keep my SMN and my RDM retain their classic designs due to the fact they will be sharing INT based gear.

I did some research into multi job glamours, but many of the posts I found were very old. I have read on the forums and on reddit to see what light has been shed on this issue. As far as I understand, while multi job glamours is not an impossible task for the development team, it would be complicated and time consuming, so if we did ever get it, it would be further down the line.

Now here is my question. With all the fanfests and interviews lately, has any new information been discussed regarding this issue? I am well aware that it will still be a complicated issue to resolve. I am aware that this is a somewhat shallow request on my part as I realize that glamour is not the biggest issue to address, however there are many of us within the community how have waited for such a system for a considerable amount of time.

If anyone here has any up-to-date information regarding this issue, please post a response and provide any sources if you have them.

Afraid I don't have any new information, but I'll second your desire for some. All I've seen on the issue has been from players, and all I can tell from that is that many of us want this feature.

The release of a new expansion is typically the time that complicated time-consuming additions and changes are made, but I haven't heard anything about this being one of the changes for Stormblood. I've been hoping it would be.

While this is one issue with the role shared gear, tanks, healers, casters and ranged, where it really love to use this is the craft gear. Sharing the same look on 8 different jobs gets boring after a while, especially as all of them have rather fine looking job based gear.

At least with DoH, you have the option to get separate gear for each of them, or for a couple of your favorites. (It takes a great deal of effort and ties up a lot of Armory Chest space if you want it for all eight of them, but even that is at least possible.) With nearly all of the good combat gear having the UNIQUE tag, you don't even have the option on DoW/DoM.

So while I certainly agree that it would be fantastic to be able to have a single DoH outfit that glamours eight different ways depending on class, I think combat sets that glamour three different ways are more important overall.

(Besides which, it's often easier to extend an existing system than replace it with something structurally very different, so it may be more likely for SE to give gear multiple glamour slots where it currently has one, and add an ability to alternate between those looks, rather than separating glamour from equipped gear. If so, three or four glamour slots per item might be an easier ask than eight.)

I don't think it should be unreasonable to think the system could be made in a way that accommodates to all classes. Even if the amount of multiple glamours an item can have is virtually unlimited (limited to amount of classes), there is very few reasons for people to have more of them on one item than necessary, if choosing which one to show works like now. I.e. even with one glamour, it shows if you could wear the glamour item, and doesn't if you can't. If the way to choose it would stay the same, there would be no reason to put more than one glamour/job that can wear the item. So the amount of it would stay checked.
