Hello
my game just finished downloading the newest patch and now im getting DCed with error 90002 this is the first time this has happend and was wondering if there is any way to fix it? (have restated my routher three times already so i dont think its my connection)
same thing here, got dc'ed twice so far, been on for a total of 10 minutes
I'm also having similar issues, which started around 11am EST.
I've disconnected from XIV more than half a dozen times today, some of which happened less than 10-15 mins apart. Error 90002, 90006, 90001, take your pick. Also, massive periodic lag spikes which made tanking in Diadem impossible.
I've restarted my modem, my router, and my computer - nothing. Ran a traceroute to the server I play on. No major ping spikes or packet loss. Ran a speed test. Everything looks fine.
You're definitely not the only one. I was fine this morning until around 11am EST, and since then I haven't been able to stay online for more than 10 minutes at a time. :( Definitely isn't my internet because it's been fine with everything else.. hopefully it gets fixed soon.
I have been having the same problem too! getting error 900002 every couple of minutes. has anyone figured out the problem or how to solve this issue?
I am having the same problem. The problem is not on my end, other applications and even another MMO continue to run when the game crashes.
Simply saying "it's not my Internet connection" because other things work fine isn't really telling the whole story - your Internet connection to the game is a lot more complex than just your own router.
I suggest opening the Windows command prompt and doing a tracert to the IP address for your datacenters, and post the results here. It'll make it easier to see if there's a problem somewhere along the Internet route between you and SE's datacenter.
That said, it does seem like a lot more people got this problem with the most recent patch, so perhaps something has changed.
I've been getting constant freeze lag and disconnects all day and night to the point where the game is unplayable. This has never once happened since early 2.x when I first started playing.
Lol I thought this was just me, I got disconnected at one point last night and couldn't log in again with the constant 90k error.
My internet connection during the time it happened was fine.
Any updates since last night? I had to get off after an hour of being disconnected every 10 minutes or so. Never had this problem before this most recent patch. Also my internet worked perfectly for everything else while this was happening. So it seems like it's on SE's side. If I'm wrong about that, please provide suggestions on how to troubleshoot/fix the problem.
