What I am going to mention is a very nit picky subject one is a having a mute button in the config/audio settings and the other is a suggestion for a music break in the game.
First off I some times like to watch films or speak to people online or just to listen to my own music, so was wondering if a mute button will be added to the audio settings, now this has been mentioned before on the forums but was tied up with the ambient sounds (such as the weather effects) what I'm asking is if there be a way to mute but keep my sliders untouched.
Second is the music break and I can feel this might prickly subject for some. But I have always thought some times a break in the music would be nice idea. My logic is that it will give the mind a rest period a time to listen to the environment around the character and will in turn help imputing the feeling of belonging to said environment for the player.
If I'm to give some examples Vagrant Story had placed music and environmental ambiance that used re-verb to good effect. Another is the first Tomb Raider which had sudden inclusion of music or a sound exclamation, that made land marks or game set pieces more dramatic. Now I'm not suggesting that the examples I've given should be followed entirely but something to think about when it comes to music/sound placement and timing.
