Post expansion ideas.

With the Expansion coming soon, i'd love to see the Soul Crystal system used for Hero classes:

Tanks:
Cloud
Lightning
Warrior of Light
Cecil
Auron
Paine
Ashe
Onion Knight

DPS:
Squall
Kain
Tidus
Luneth
Bartz
Tifa
Zidane
Rikku
Vaan
Snow
Noctis

Healer/Mage:
Terra
Yuna
Layle

I'd love to see something like this make more use of the Soul Crystal system.

But what would these crystals do for your character/class if implemented, I feel more of an explanation is needed on why you chose these hero class crystal design?

While a cool idea, I doubt this would happen. Especially if it's like the class to job crystals. I mean they've talked about wanting to get rid of classes so it's just jobs (though won't happen til 5.0 maybe).

Sorry Kathyn i was limited to 3000 characters. Basically by equipping the gem you would move and fight like that character, like with Tidus you would do all his jumping around and stuff and your LB would become one of his.

I see, sounds interesting I suppose we can only wait and see if they do decide to do something with the system or continue to ignore it completley :)

Balance... its why this idea will never happen

No i dont want to be tidus or squall... i hate playing a character in mmorpg ONLINE that is not "me". No clones:)
Sorry for sounding horrible.

Not so much clones Johaandr as more classes, the Squall gem for instance would add a Gunblade style class and with them adding Blitzball in the expansion the Tidus style would go well with it.
Over all this is a may to use the Soul Crystal system more as its barely explored as of now with just the Job setups. This idea would add more options and styles for people to pick.

As for balance like Viki mentioned that is why in the listing i placed the characters in the section they were in, even in their own games this is where they would of fell into so the balance is already there.

They joked about it, and said they had ideas, but never once said "we are adding it". While we may see a FFXIV version of Blitzball in future, it will be vastly different from FFX's (this bit was the only confirmed part of it).

As for the idea, you want them to add in running motions of fighting styles of historical characters, when chars like that are confirmed to have to travel through worlds. How would they have soul crystals? How would they have their movement etc inside the crystal (The jobs we have now use the actions of US, not the crystal)? How would they ALL have come to this world? I'm sorry, but this is just a terrible idea, the cameos are more than enough.
