Where does mog station revenue go?

doesn't feel like much of it goes back into the game. I don't think we got much from those sales of $30 mounts and now $7 emotes, heavensward gave a new race and 3 classes without mog station and now we have it, no race or new character customisation and 2 classes. So... Subs. Decide if this game is a sub game or cash shop game, because I'm pretty sure for the amount of profit this game makes we should probably be expecting more than proto-ultima, year late carby glamours, and a vast lack of housing.

Now maybe im gonna sound entitled, but I'm really curious how this game itself is better off for the mog station. During the eu fan fest when mog station was spoken about, they said it was just being used to pay for a european datacentre. And that was just selling little minions back then. Whats it being used for now?

It was OK when they introduced it as solution for people who missed some event so they can buy old items which are already in game, so no manpower needed. But now it seems they just creating more and more exclusive overpriced content for cash shop instead of game. Its fraud from SE.

I kinda don't know how to structure my reply. I'm a mogstation user, loads of fantasia and stuff and so on...and i totally agree with you when comparing Stormblood to Heavensward it does seem like you get less for your buck. I'd totally 100% agree with you....but at this current moment I'm thinking....well ....

Maybe Gyr Abania areas are huge...and maybe Orthard is also huge and there are LOADS of areas in each so it feels like two expansions...so it feels like I'm getting 'something' for my money....

But, if thats not the case and if the sum of both "regions" comes to equal to or less than Heavensward you can bet yours and my dollars that I will in fact 100% agree with you >.<

We are getting more inventory space and another housing ward in Stormblood. Housing will also see an item limit increase. Those things take up resources continuously so I'm not sure the static sub fee can cover upgrades like that indefinitely. Unless they raise the sub fee. Would you consider that to be a better alternative?

The last big thing I remember Mogstation money went towards were the EU servers getting there own datacenter, which would not have happened without it.

Most moeny goes right into Squares collective pockets. If you recall from the fanfests they only recently started reinvesting in the game for the first time. That's the server update for the inventory. But all the time before that? Just pure liquid asset. The budget is fixed and no matte rhow much you buy, the team won't see much of it given back to the game. What would the point be anyways? People already spend hand over foot for mogshop items, they'd be fools to reinvest much more than bare minimum

Yeah...umm I regret spending all this cash in the mogstation if it funded FF15 ;)

A while back they confirmed that some of the money made by FFXIV was being redirected into FFXV. I wouldn't be terribly surprised - given how unfinished/broken certain elements of that game are - if that is still the case.

yeah... after they charged for additional retainers for ages. in 4.0 we get free additional inventory space, to be filled with all the crap that comes with 4.0, but still until then the only way to increase storage slots is... real cash
