Extending Time before House Demolition

Hello! I currently own a house, and regularly subbed. However, over the summer I will be traveling for around two months, and most likely won't be able to play the game (and also worried that connecting from another country might flag my account or something haha). I really don't want to lose my house since it's in a super nice location, and in the same neighborhood as my friends.

I was wondering if FFXIV could possibly add in a option to pay a certain amount of gil to extend the time before housing demolition! Like maybe in 15 day increments, either from the time paid or is just added to the 45 days from the last day you logged in. It could be something like after 45 days pass, and you start using the 15 days you paid for with possibly an email notice;in addition, once you reenter your house regardless of how many days you used, it'll count as you having used the extension.

If you've got a security token on your account it overrides the IP check so you'd be able to login from anywhere without any issues.

Also I don't know if this helps, but you can actually copy and run the game on a USB drive (I've done this myself a few times). So if you were to do that you'd only to have a few minutes access to any computer running Windows. Because configuration files/hotbars are stored on your local computer you wouldn't have any of those without getting creative, but for logging in and walking inside your house, it's not like you'd need those.

You shouldn't lose your house at all because it should of been made a separate instance from the beginning. bad planning is bad...they just want to make that monthly.

Maybe you could ask a RL friend / family member to log for you and enter the house ?

I'll try the security token thing! It's just kind of a hassle that I have to worry about this while traveling haha

This is why I think 45 days is far too short. What OP is doing is far from unusual, and depending on what kind of situation someone like OP finds themselves, it may be difficult to access a pc/console with FFXIV installed.

At the very least there should be something in the Mog Station you can access, while your sub is active, that resets the timer. That way you can reset the timer without needing to be on a pc/console with FFXIV, but you're still paying your sub like everyone else.
