i am new to tanking and was wondering if the mounts you get as achievement can fly

They can't, though I'm certain it was discussed at one point

The current one's cannot fly. However, a new Japanese interview with Yoshi P confirmed they are adding new tank mounts in 4.0 to incentivize Tanking once again.
