Will Doma and Ala Mhigo be available in 4.0?

Or will we be waiting for patches? I would be really bummed if liberate Doma and Ala Mhigo meant that we'd have to wait until patch 3.1- 3.5, and so I really hope it's not the case.

Since we're in 3.5 right now I think they will come avaible atleast at or after 4.0

4.1 - 4.5, you mean. The freedom of Doma and Ala Mhigo will not come instantly, anymore than it was to end the Dragonsong War for Heavensward (patch 3.3).

Actually being able to traverse to them immediately? This will probably occur within the release 4.0 story, before patches.

I doubt they would keep a region advertised in the trailer locked on launch. The story will probably take us to both places and continue in Doma during future patches.

My best guess is one or both of those towns will be end game towns that you will end up rebuilding..

The answer is.... Yes. That is what the entire expansion is predicated around. The liberation of Ala Mhigo and Doma. It would be very difficult to liberate them without going to them. The story to do so will begin in 4.0 and carry us through the patches. As to the exact timing of getting to them, the answer is "We don't know yet."

From past experience, you won't have to.

I would assume it would be the same way Ishgard was in HW.
