I job i'd enjoy seeing

With some people so disappointed in samurai not being a tank, I've been thinking about a job i've wanted for a while but think it unlikely to see. Asian themed, heavy armoured tank. The Oni.
Weapon - Kanabo/ club (blunt damage, cos I want something to work with monk)
Possibly a little more OT focused to compete with WAR, though I would like it to do damage and gain enmity with Dots. Lets call it Bruising. Some snap aggro skills, while waiting for dots to do their thing of course.

I also dont see how shogun is supposed to be a tanky samurai. Historically speaking, in a battle setting samurai were wearing armour too, its just a samurai general as far as i understand... shouldnt be much of a fighting style difference.

Viking is a traditional Final Fantasy job, from Final Fantasy III, that uses a Hammer (which is very popular in Final Fantasy games) that most likely would do "blunt" damage.

I would also like to see this implemented.


Since in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 Vikings use Lightning, they could play off that as well.

Kinda how Dark Knight is to Paladin, Viking would be to Warrior. But synergy with monk as a viking, as warrior has with ninja.

Seriously how is Viking not just Warrior with a hammer? Beserker is literally a skill that Warriors use in game. Both are thematically Covered by Warrior, if a Hammer job is introduced it would make more sense for it to go to Geomancer.

there are two jobs i am hoping for.

Blue Mage, i know this one has been in the talks but if it ever does become a thing I hope that blue mage becomes a tank. Mainly because being in a tank role you will be able to take advantage of a blue mages diverse move pool greatly.

Another job i'd like is like the cousin of the blue mage. The morpher. Have it be unique in that which form you take will determine your role(can't switch mid battle of course). A tank form (behemoth), and physical melee (tonberry?), and ranged magic (lamia), and a healer form (dryad?).

blunt damage really has gotten the bad end of the stick for some time, i can see them adding a blunt damage tank in the future. as far as viking, the original job as well as berserker(interchangable) with Warrior, but I suppose they could do a hammer tank like a viking that uses runes(think rune fencer) to keep with the thematics and norse mythology a bit....

Warrior is a mashup of Warrior(ff1), Berserker(ff5), and Viking(ff3). So a Viking Job would be redundant. :/

Only Viking aspect of WAR thouh is just Provoke really.
