What, you mean like ACP and Abyssea? Not really, because the content we get in patches for free is more than those gave.
Idk Just a idea seeing as Se has done it once the cash cow need to be feed. However if 4.0 story has nothing to do with the two areas as we know of so far. 5.0 I would think we would be going more towards Garlemald. Leaving the two areas untouched still. When would we get to see them. I'm not for this idea just a thought I had when I was drinking last night haha.
Unless you could get the exact same user-generated content to appear on both PC and console, I do not expect SE to support the idea. They are dead set on maintaining comparable experiences across all platforms the game is available for. Adding content to one platform but not another would run counter to this.
Just look at the mod availability for a certain Bethesda game. You'll see there is a huge difference in the mods available on PC and the mods available on PS4. That difference exemplifies the difficulty in getting user generated content onto the platform somewhat around half of this game's playerbase uses.
