Crysta cost with retainer service doubled?

Hi, today I went to renew my retainers. I use crysta to pay for both my subscription and my retainers. My game time subscription was paid for with a time card, so I did not renew it at the same time as this.

I have 6 extra retainers. Each retainer is 2 dollars. So, it should be 12 dollars additional per month.

Crysta is 1 cent per 1 crysta, so 100 crysta is $1. Therefore, you'd think I would need $12 worth of crysta to renew my retainers for the month - which is 1,200 crysta.

I bought 1,200 crysta ($12 worth) and went to renew, only to find out that I only had enough crysta for 3 retainers.

I don't understand - I know I'm not that great at math, but after asking others I can find no reasonable explanation for why it would be -so- much. Why is it asking me for $24 worth of crysta to renew my retainers? I used to pay for them with just my cash, not crysta, and it was certainly not that much.

I know SE isn't open Sundays, but I'm really frustrated. It's already bad enough that I have to pay month by month for retainers in the first place, and now it seems to be charging double if you use crysta. I can't access my crafting materials or glamour items. I renewed the 3 I could afford before realizing that this really did seem wrong. Is anybody else having this issue? I really need/want some help, I don't have another $12 to waste, er, spend on this.
