Stormblood related - Blitzball and Yoshi-P's Press Con Comment

I am glad someone finally brought it up and we got more of a "we are thinking about" one liner from Yoshi-P on the subject.

However, my question to the Dev Team and Topic to the community is this:

Yoshi-P said he had concerns about it being implemented equal to FFX and it losing interest.

Please explain this further. Do you mean it won't be played or it is going to be time consuming to develop?

Solo players currently have a GC squadron. How difficult would this be to transition to allowing a single player to hire a blitzball team?

Yes I am a player who would love to this as added content to the game. However, I am also trying to understand what conversation(s) are running through the dev team about this content.

Plus side, this would be one of the few pieces of content we see which would truly allow for FC VS FC play in game which, to me, is a promise which has never been delivered on by the several team.

I wouldn't want to have a bunch of random npcs on my team like the gc squad. I want memorable npcs that you can find in-game like tataru, aymeric, thancred, yshtola, etc.

Also I'm fine if it's not the same as the FFX version. I would actually like it more if they changed it into a type of PvP or something where you can compete against your friends.

If they made it part of pvp (rewards wolfmarks, PvP exp, tomes) instead of part of gold saucer (rewards mgp) I think it will be a more long lasting content and not die off so easily like Lord of verminion.

I agree with you about the ability to recruit memorable players would be awesome but I would expect it would be problematic if 2 aymeric\\\\'s (example only) are on the play space.

I didn\\\\'t put this up to try to make a case for it being a absolute match to FFX, but Yoshi-P didn\\\\'t clarify what issues with that version are being problematic in the dev team discussions which is what my head is spinning about.

Personally, I would love to see Blitzball in XIV be a great bridging type of content which would have:

Solo equal to FFX
PVP 4v4 and 8v8
FC 4v4, 8v8, and even 12v12
(Of course including all the potential greatness of competition from cross server play as well.)

And adder piece of content, which to me would be epic, would make the seasons work like the FIFA World Cup.

sadly I would even like to see a GCvGCvGC 3 way type of blitzball, but I see that having all the same problems that front lines has.

The only issue that may kill it would be if any kind of prize or tournament comes into play, because we know just like with Triple Triad and Feast is win traders. However, I would love to see what they can do for it.
