Eye Candy for Tanks/Healers?

Im a little salty at the reasoning behind not adding a new tank and healer, but whats done is done. Honestly, I am mostly salty due to the fact that the weebs got what they wanted. I didn't mind 2 dps, I just didn't want it to be samurai.

Anyway, with nothing new for the Tanks and Healers out there to get hyped about gameplay wise, I really hope we get to see some new abilities and such shown to us before Stormblood is actually out. I wanna be hyped like all the dps too :(

Hoping they balance out healers and tanks and add new exciting abilities to help at least make the classes more desireable.

Ah, yes. Adding Samurai in the Japanese-themed area is pandering to weebs. Of course.

Far more likely to be reworks than simply adding new abilities. But we shall see.

Well, I think it makes sense. The people that play tanks/healers are already playing them. The ones that play DPS aren't going to switch (long term, they might level them) because its not what they enjoy. Other MMO's have proved it.

Honestly I changed to AST during HW due to getting bored of WHM and SCH after playing them for a couple years through ARR. I really do hope they do something to spice it up for healers as I have yet to enjoy playing any DPS in any MMO I have played and am worried that another 2+ years of stagnation for the role will cause me to look elsewhere for my entertainment.

But AST and DRK did bring in new people to the roles. There are those that play those healing and tanking jobs and none of the others... because they like only their playstyles or aesthetic. It might not be enough to make DPS the 'in need' job (although HW did, for a time), but it does at least help.

As has been said, adding nothing new has zero chance of getting new people interested.

Isn't 60-70 potential for new?

Or are people only interested in fresh classes instead of fresh ideas? I believe that all classes have potential to pull players in if they're done right and inevitably the fresh coat of paint that is a new class chips and it all settles into place.

Fresh Classes bring both though lol. Especially when Samurai and Redmage are super iconic jobs in the FF Series. every class is getting 60-70 new stuff, makes it less special lol.
