Possible text error in Ninja 50 quest

In the quest "Master and Student" when Oboro asks you for whom or what do you wield power, and you answer "For those around me" he responds with "I knew you a woman/man after my own heart"

I acknowledge the game has a more uh. Whats the word. Olden/medieval dialect/grammar convention at times but this strikes me as a word being forgotten (ie should have been "I knew you were a woman/man after my own heart")
