Rumor some request gonna put all my suggestions and Speculations in single post. so no reason for you guys constantly picks fights with me. don't like what read don't read it and ignore it walk away. starting a fight on this post means your looking too start trouble. ill report you



----> Lancer/Dragoon Speculations/Suggestions<-----

First thing let me state - trying look at lancer/dragoon in same light as monk/ninja is completely stupid. yes all 3 are melee damage dealers. lancer is what i call.

"Heavily Armored DPS" - when you play it. do not expect have same feel as monk and ninja. in fact It will feel (note the word "Feel") very slow and sluggish at first. if anything "Downright boring"

when i play this class. first thing i think "hit them very hard" and thats really all their is too it

Leveling one personally i found extremely boring unfulfilling. every-time got ability it wasn't "Yay got new ability what does it do" it was...."eh..great another attack" where gonna put it with limited button space i have on a "CONTROLLER... oh crap where gonna put it"

my chotbar/hotbar starting too look extremely messy and clustered up. i wouldn't mind having so much bloat. if skills that did other things. othjer then increases my damage. increases my piercing resistance hey have ability gives me 100% crit chance . see going thread here beating a dead horse

- before anyone says "wait wait let me get this right you don't like class cause it has way too many attacks" answer is too you "no you got me wrong. its ok have a-lots of abilities do damage. look at black mage other dps jobs. but also have utility

- Litany was nice addition. in fact it was welcome gave us more raid utility
- Blood of the Dragon + Fourth Teir Attacks - nothing wrong with these abilities fine way they are. problem i have with them. is information they give

It kinda sucks when you have to ask complete stranger. "hey how do use this cause their not enough info on the tooltip. if you wondering how played them "Palace of the Dead"

your one of few dps classes get cross class abilities from one of the tank jobs. 2 abilities seem actually shine most. mercy stroke and bloodbath.. mercy stroke on melee dps is pretty flipping stroke. seems like it pops off everytime heals me for good amount

I do not understand how someone can be so happy recieving same thing. over and over again its like opening a chrismas gift... wait its same gift over and over and over and over...

My Suggestions -
Finishing "Heavy Swing/Ring of Thorns combo" but after that no more attack skills pls

More - Abilities that help out the raid. and less abilities that just help dragoon no one else thats its

Speculations - whats really gonna happen

Lets give dragoon more attacks and become even more boring. I mean come on if it doesn't have potency on dragoon ability or doesn't buff dragoons damage in somewhat its not going on dragoon right..

anyone says "Keen Flurry" you need be slapped 80% chance parry doesn't change fact parry sucks

no you cannot tell me it wouldn't be that way cause if you bring up assassin we already have ninja. what this class about.... twerking and buffing allies.. do we need that.... no

in controller you only have a limit of space equal at you capacity to dealt with the multiple shorcuts you have to wear all the skills, apart of that dragoon not only offer battle litany to the party they offer disembowel pearcing debuff incresing damage on bards and machinist whit is why the job is mandatory for top dps compositions over monk.

today dragoons have one of the most dinamic rotations and are fast, compared to the most slow jobs dragoons are in a middle ground.

keen flurry go to be change probably, and parry go to be change or meaby eliminated like some are speculating so dont judge a stat whitout knowing what devs go to do in stormblood, and most important, heavy swing is a marauder skill, check that please.

I assume you're like this with a healing class too? "Oh great, another heal." or a tank? "Oh great, another defensive cooldown." What is this logic? Also, if you are running out of space on a controller... like what? You have a potential 40 slots on ONE layout selection. Also, don't give me that "I'm not complaining about the amount of attack skills, I'm complaining about the lack of utility", then why were you talking about the attack skills and not the utility, lol?

"It kinda sucks when you have to actually go out of your way to learn the job you're leveling to not suck at it" is what you're saying... sooo, the usual? Everyone asks other people how to play certain jobs, why are you making it a negative occasion? It's only negative when you are potentially wiping(or being a detriment to) the group.

1. Heavy Swing is a WAR/MRD ability. Heavy Thrust is the DRG/LNC skill, and on top of that, are you saying it should be the ONLY combo? That's pretty lame and stupid... leveling LNC/DRG was already bad when you had to use Impulse Drive for 26 levels.
2. I don't disagree with the more raid utility, but what does self-utility have to do with it? Disembowel supports the DRG, but also supports BRD and MCH. Should we do away with that and give DRG another Mantra or something?
3. BotD affects your Jump potencies, you are literally stating the opposite of what your intentions are as well as what the devs have already done (strengthen what DRG is known for).
4. Keen Flurry is highly useless outside of PotD and solo content, we know this. Highly likely it will be cut out of the DRG skillset in 4.0.

I complaining about tooltip. what am I reading when look at the skill.

when first get blood of the dragon and fourth teir attacks. you ask yourself what is sharpen what is enchanced? tooltip doesn't explain how it should be used

game itself to should supply this information

blood of dragoon:
Increases potency of Jump and Spineshatter Dive by 30% for 15s.
Additional Effect: Grants Sharper Fang and Claw or Enhanced Wheeling Thrust for 10s when completing a combo with Chaos Thrust or Full Thrust.
These two effects end upon reuse of Blood of the Dragon or using any skill that is not Fang and Claw or Wheeling Thrust.

fang and claw:
Delivers an attack with a potency of 100. 290 when executed from a target's flank.
Can only be executed while under the effect of both Blood of the Dragon and Sharper Fang and Claw.
Additional Effect: Extends Blood of the Dragon duration by 15s to a maximum of 30s.

Wheeling Thrust:
Delivers an attack with a potency of 100. 290 when executed from a target's rear.
Can only be executed while under the effect of both Blood of the Dragon and Enhanced Wheeling Thrust.
Additional Effect: Extends Blood of the Dragon duration by 15s to a maximum of 30s.

Geirskogul:
Delivers an attack with a potency of 200 to all enemies in a straight line before you.
Can only be executed when under the effect of Blood of the Dragon.
Additional Effect: Reduces the duration of Blood of the Dragon by 10s.

sounds pretty clear to me, its pretty obvious you need to wait to get all the skills to get all the info, the tooltip is very informative when you have all

The game literally states "Able to perform an Enhanced Wheeling Thrust" on the tooltip of the buff that allows you to use the skill. And then when you go to the tooltip for Wheeling Thrust "Must be under the effect of both Blood of the Dragon and Enhanced Wheeling Thrust to execute". Put 2 and 2 together and you don't need to ask others.
