Make in-mechanic obstacles impassable (steady)

Good day

In different battles we have mechanics, when we need to hide behind the obstacles not to be killed by some boss mechanic. And always sad, when the model of the character somehow situated inside this obstacle, the game thinks, that you are not behind the obstacle and the attack kills you

But what, i such obstacles will be impassable? Whey will be steady and it will be impossible to step inside of them? I think it will be good

All this would do is make mechanics that aren't that hard to begin with easier, and probably be a mess of coding to do it. No thanks.
