Hi everyone, and first of all, thx Square-Enix for bring us Party Finder Cross Server, cause now I can invite directly the bard of my static without register at same time Raid Finder and cross fingers xD.
But for the other hand.... and it isn't something new.... because it was happening maybe at less scale in each server.... but in each server probably we know everyone, so someone joins or you read player name before joining, you know what expect.
But with Zurvan and party finder cross server... as we know, there's so much "FARM PARTIES" for Zurvan.... even with other primals... cause everybody want birds and the big one too... so it's time to farm them while we wait next expansion, right?.
I could say... and tested it that across party finder.... 90% of Zurvan parties don't work as farm party as they announce. Zurvan partys are usually announced as "FARM PARTY SKIP SOAR bla bla bla - no bonus" with 1 tank, 2 healers and 5 dps. I know that with whole party doing a normal (I don't say advanced use of job) use of job... first will be skiped tooooooooooooooooooooo easly... is just drop zurvan's HP too 80%.
The problem is there's so many ppl who join to "FARM PARTY" and they are performing sooooooooooooooo low. Ok, I won't speak hear about numbers, just because I know how some jobs works and I know what happen with aggro bar (and you can say.... well I've used quelling strikes so i don't have so much aggro...). If someone performs lower than just doing properly their job openner.... well if it's just one... maybe you will skip soar... if there's 2 dps that they don't know how to execute their openner... probably Zurvan will start P2 at 81% or more... so you will get SOAR (and in a farm party it shouldn't be a problem, then I will explain why).
If you know that more than X players say you "why do you deal so low deeps", they aren't fools... so why don't go to SSS and check at least if with i260 you can kill a12s dummy?. Because in a12s any DPS job of the game should break a12s dummy or a11s dummy as minimun. There's so much material on internet about how to play or improve playing a job.... if you love your job, why don't try to get good with your job.... just to go to an expert and say "look at this... i'm XXX (where XXX is job abbreviation) and i'm so cool cause I kill everything so fast.
Anyway, continuing with Party Finder FARM PARTY SKIP SOAR (it's a meme nowadays). Ok if you can't deal enough damage to skip SOAR, why do you create a party finder "FARM ZURVAN" and you don't know how to deal SOAR.... even with assigned positions. Even with assigned positions by number over a diagram showed before start... so, don't join to a "farm party" if you don't know whole fight at least.
Then the problem... and this is a serious problems are the insults sadly are too often. Some players are insulting others because party finder descriptions or party finder recruitment criteria. I can't understand WHY. I know that you are paying for play this game and you have the right to play this game, but you don't have the right to force others who are paying too like you... to do what you want. So you should understand than when someone creates a party finder... in this party finder will be applied his rules, not yours and not Raid/Duty Finder rules... it's because exists Party Finder. If you don't like what a party finder descriptions says, just don't join and create your own. If in this situation you feel something like "oh man... they will be so good and will kill zurvan many times fast... I want to be there... but I can't join cause I can't meet requirement; and if I create mine I can't kick others because i'm not so good"... ok look for another players, train the fight, train the use of your job, improve your game skills.... and this isn't about.... well it's casual content I can play as I want, nope.... because a Trial Extreme.... yes is much easier than Savage but it's a content that at least need players who know how to play the game.
And another thing about the "TOXIC" accusations, and I'm going to be blunt about this.
TL;DR; If you want to farm a thingm be sure that you will apport to the farm party with your job contribution and you know whole fight at 100%. If you can't just improve it with other players who want to help or want to improve too; and don't play ppl cause party finder, cause party finder rules are party finder creator rules, not yours.
- Create Party Finder with closed recruitment criteria isn't toxic. It's party finder creator rules, so don't join, don't insult, create your own.
- When someone creates a party finder.... is his party, so he will choose with who wants to play. It isn't duty finder or raid finder. If you want just create your own or just go by raid finder.
- Whisp someone who says in his description "Zurvan Farm | Have a12s downed at least, etc" and insult him, or join just to insult. This actitude is just trolling and in my opinnion this king of actitud is actually TOXIC... it isn't toxic de party finder o the one who created it.... it's you cause your insults.
- It's toxic too, just ruining many party finders that could work. Just think and what you need to improve if you want to farm and try to play with players in your same level to improve your skills with you rjob or at the fight.

All I see is people want non toxic groups in PF and more groups in general yet very few actually make their own recruitment in PF. It's like they are afraid to do it. If you don't like the current groups in PF then make your own. Stop waiting always for someone else to do it. Cause it will be with his own terms. Some people want to do Zurvan like that. They have all the rights to do so. Don't like it? Create your own group with your own terms.

I know that coul dbe sound weird ask for ppl with a11s downed for zurvan (in my case)... but well... if you can kill a11s probably you will do (I said probably) a good job in zurvan and you have certain capability to execute stuff like soar or play your job as well. But the result of doing this is "screenshot to party finder -> reddit -> blame this guy -> call him ellitist -> scrub -> idiot -> asshole -> etc".
So.... Am I doing somethign wrong when I'm just trying to meet ppl with aprox same play level than me to do content? -

I really don't know what you do wrong or not. I never had experiences of people insulting me ever. I think you exaggerate a little bit. I doubt people calling you idiot and words like this. If you ever had a single lunatic who thought FFXIV is LoL or smth then you can always report harassment and take a screenshot as a proof.
All I want to say is that if you want to do something and that something requires a full party from PF but you don't like the requirements or the job slots of the current recruiting groups in PF then start your own group with your own terms and rules. It's simple as that. Some people want to do the X content with the X way and rules. It's their right to do so. This is why we have PF. Want a training group? Make one. Want a Zurvan group with different rules? Make one. Want a bird farm group again make one. -

My biggest issues with party finder though are:-
1:- I level requirements. Party leaders should not be allowed to set an ilevel higher than there own. I Joined a zurvan farm yesterday with an ilevel requirement of 262 only to find upon entering the fight someone pointed out the leader and his friend were barely i250. Not even meeting the entry requirements for his own party. Group was useless anyway the leader and another kept screwing up cross and telling the 6 people that were all perfectly stacked they were in the wrong place... 2 runs and most people bailed including me.
2:- The other issue I have is people labelling things "clear parties" when they clearly aren't. I join a few of those time to time. Help out get some lights /second chance points /maybe even a bird. Only to find many of these parties are a very long way from clearing the fight.
Did a Seph ex one yesterday as paladin. At one point I even had macros. For stack in B. Spread for da'at yada yada. and people still couldn't do it. I would hit the stack in b macro as soon as the third tower came up. And find I'd be able to run to my tower. Wait for it to dissappear and run to b to bait pillars before the blue circles started appearring and I'd still be standing in b 3 or 4 seconds before anyone else even started to move to b. Only to then watch the flash and pillars kill everyone..
Seriously they probably had at least 10 seconds notice that they needed to stack and where and they still failed. "Yeah this ain't a clear party " and I bailed
Then I did a sophi clear party on ninja and laughed first run both healers knocked off by the first gnosis. Second run laughed so hard when 5 ppl got punted off by the first deemerge. "Yeah this is not a clear party at all" and again I bailed. -

One of the biggest issues is that many ppl thinks that with just one run they are ready to reliable farm... and it isn't.
I mean... ok... you keep training a primal... and reached many times under 10%.... finally one day you down it. And probably if you don't usually fail on 10% trys... probably you are ready to farm it after kill it.... cause last "for clear" trys, wipe wasn't cause of you. The thing is.... with Zurvan there's so many ppl that probably had luck and downed it because they were with other 7 good players... so skiped soar, did tank lb3.... ok maybe someone dead, just raise and continue fight to repeat cross, broken and kill him no problem. So in very few time they think... omg I killed it i can farm it -> no you can't, you need to go more clear partys, because you still need to learn the fight.
Ok... by party finder I can ask high dps for farm... and if something is wrong with dps, just kick the lowest or the one who failed (announcing this measure before start to avoid to premature party leave); as #2 and #4 and #5 says, is my pf, so are my rules; and if someone just insult me -> blacklist then, the toxic player is him not me. And ok... we skip soar and everything is fine... but if a create a party with just "zurvan farm birds" or join to a pf with description "zurvan farm birds - no bonus". I shouldn't expect skip soar.... nobody in that party should expect it... so everybody should know perfectly how to deal with soar bacause is a farm party and in a farm party everybody should know 100% whole fight. You can demand or not high dps... even with high dps and good players, sometimes there's mistakes and they are recoverable.... but everybody on the party know how to do soar in case of it.
The thing is I see many ppl who read "Zurvan Farm Party - High DPS - No bonus" go in. OMG even with 5 dps can't skip soar.... but.. well it's a farm party... omg, half party don't know hwo to do soar; so why do you join farm party instead another for clear party to practice more soar? -
