4.0 with the drop of ps3 changes that could be added?

With the drop of ps3 support a lot of problems with hardware limitation gets lifted, so my question is do you think we could see these following changes

-giving us the 1.0 character models, it's no secret that the 1.0 character models are miles better looking than what we have now, but it also fixes the booty thing you hear so much about in the forums

- combined zones with flying, now this one seems a bit of a stretch but how cool would it be if all the black shroud was one zone, all of thanalan one and all of la noscea one with flying in these new giant zones. Also combining cities to 1 zone instead of 2, such as limsa lower and upper just being one limsa zone

-overhauled emotes, the best example i can think of is between Au Ra and Miqo'te. Take a look at how full of life Au Ra emotes are and then look at how stiff and lifeless Miqo'te emotes are. What I am saying here is giveing all races emotes that look real instead of the robotic looking motions some races have now

-more character creation options or character creation overhaul, This one is another big one people want either more options or just an overhaul with sliders to make our characters actually look different instead of the same 1 or 2 looking races you see everywhere.

1.0 won't exist for a very long time, if ever. There are several reasons as to why, like maybe one of them explicitly because of the ps3. You want higher res models? Take to SE about giving the XIV team some proper equipment. The Butts issues is also not a ps3 issue. It was an issue where very detailed 3d modeling is a god damned nightmare for a game where hundreds of models can be on screen performing individual movements.

Emote overhaul is not an issue, entirely possible, those animations were just from the old models and whether were placeholders or actual decisions is undetermined. That said, it is extremely low priority, as is most things already in the game, as it would take sizeable development time to break down animations and spruce them up.

Sliders goes right back to character model issues. They dont have the hardware to manage fully unique 3d models efficiently and to do so would require greater upgrades to what they have and possibly a new engine. This is sorta why really exaggerated facial animations you see in cutscenes look like something from gary's mod.

These weren't even really ps3 limitations, these have been "Our equipment sucks, and the average playerbase aren't all playing on titans to compensate." Until they do get better equipment and improve the engine enough, none of these arepossible without putting a burden on anyone playing the game.

The main issue right now is the engine itself being flawed, not a few people still being on the ps3.

What is the butt issue? Mine seems pretty juicy, depending on pants.

We need the butt slider. That is it.

At launch? Nothing. Down the line probably QoL changes. I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking.

SE's servers don't render character models, so them getting better equipment wouldn't solve this lol. It is an engline limitation, and a design choice, and maybe less of an engine limitation.

I'm hoping they'll update the servers and infrastructure with 5.0. I cannot imagine it'll happen with 4.0, and even 5.0 may be optimistic.

Your thinly-veiled butt slider thread doesn't fool me.

The servers don't really need an update though. The game is coded for a certain number of players, and more than that breaks the coding. Thats why Aether has stability issues, not server hardware. They could throw the most expensive hardware that exists at our servers and it wouldnt do anything if they didnt update the code to allow for it.

On the other hand, it would be nice to have some updates to the way the games systems interact, like the ability to add housing wards to the servers that need them without having to add them to the entire datacenter.
