Airship Help for a Newb

We just started our airships and are level 7 but I cannot seem to get it to unlock any sectors past 3. I have been sending it to sector 2 because I have seen that is where you unlock sector 4 and 5. Can anyone advise if I am doing something wrong. I have on 2 bronco and 2 invincible parts currently.

It's basically just RNG. Keep sending them out and pray to RNGsus.

Bring up your surveillance if you can and send your airships to the same location. Chances are you will have better odds.
