Can we take addon classes in more an easy way?

Good day

Some thought cam to me- is it really comfortable to demand from the players (if they bought the addon), if they want to play by astrologian, DK or Mechanist, to complete all the MSQ of 2.X, even not possible to take the class when you create a character.

I think, that is it a stupid and not necessary restriction, that can be surely nerfed and players will be able to take these classes in more an easy way, even with the creation of the character

For example, you are a new player. You have read about the classes and choosed Astrologian, for example. You began to create a character and suddenly found out ,that you can be an Astrologian, but first you must waste a lot of time on playing by the class you dont like and only then you will be able to take the Astrologian and it will be not even on 50 level, only 30. It means, that you must level up 50+30 levels but not 60. It is really stupid

If Square Enix is smart, they'll cut out a TON of the lifeless fat in the 2.X storyline. So much of it is just worthless fetch quests, like it actually makes me want to vomit just thinking of it. That'll solve the issue that many people have with getting bored with the story and taking breaks before they even reach level 50.

Totally agree. The MSQ line is full of stupid quests and dialogs, that only waste the player's time

At implementation that was the point, if the main story was just key events it would have taken all of an hour to beat, they wanted to make sure people weren't reaching level 50 and finished all content on day 1, so they padded it out to buy time to put more content out. Unfortunately it's hard to undo it once it's been done, which is what they hope to bandaid with the jump potions.

For 4.0 advanced jobs, defeating Ultima Weapon will be all what you have to do to unlock them.
For 3.0 advanced jobs, story skip potion will come.

The potions would be a problem if Squeenix hadn't learned from its mistakes with dark knight, astrologian, and machinist. Clearly they have by only requiring you to defeat ultima weapon to unlock red mage and the second class they're releasing.

I hate the fact that the jump potion is the only real option for Square atm. In a perfect world I'd want all of the boring, uninteresting and irrelevant MSQs turned into sidequests, and no jump potion/a free one per account. However, that'd take far too much time, and the jump potion can offer a fix for maybe... 10% of the newbie population (being very generous here) while the rest of the newbies suffer the same way they are suffering now.

The jump potion will at least offer more funding for future content.

They need to split basic features (mounts or retainers for example), dungeons and acces to other expansion from main story quest to just a minimun LvL. While the main plot from 2.0 quest line is ok (well, at least I like it) pacing is horredous filled with pointless task.

I can think of two solutions:

Make the MSQ available to parties so that we can help our noob friends get through the 2.x slog by doing all the story instances and trials with them (synced or unsynced doesn't matter to me, might be a good way for someone to level an alt class actually)

Or

Separate the MSQ from the multiplayer dungeons / raids / trials entirely. Make it so that Ifrit HM is unlocked as soon as they meet ilvl requirement, but they still have to beat it again if they do it as a MSQ later

A lot of people only join this game to play with friends who are already at the endgame, and it would be in the interest of this game's longevity to NOT keep a huge boring solo grind as a barrier to that experience. Jump potions and such are not a solution
