onscreen damage and abilities problem

hello,
since last update, i got a really chatty screen
i can't find how to disable all these numbers and icons
all i can say, it's not "flying text" or "battle effects"
so how can i revert it back ?

Simple answer is there is no way to disable them at this time. I also do not like all the extra chat clutter.

I thought they changed all of those to "Pop-up Text"...

Char Config > UI Settings > HUD > Disable/enable pop-up text..

Or is that something different to what you're talking about? I read it briefly in the notes but shrugged it off and ignored it.

I'm not sure what you mean since my screen looks the same as it always has. Could you provide an example?

really, SE mess something ?
when i solo fates with my chocobo, i have my damage numbers, chocobo damage numbers, healing numbers from my chocobo and this stupid regen numbers too (each tick)
it's really messy
can't image how the new 24 raid will be...

But it's always been like that though, at least for me. Flying Text should hide your own direct numbers, the new Pop-up Text option should hide your DoTs and everything else. I'm not sure why disabling those isn't working for you because toggling them works just fine for me.

Flying numbers and pop up text appear regardless if the box is checked or not. I did a quik check at the bug forums and it seems they have accpeted a similar issue. So all we can do is wait and hope they fix it soon.

ya I have the same trouble now since the update cant get that crap off my screen. so when I am in a fight all I can see is a long list of numbers flying by. never understood why that everytime they update I have to redo all my settings. it is totally the suck in suckiness.

I've noticed this bug as well - there is a fix(workaround). Every day when I log in I have to Check those two boxes (flying text and pop up text) Then un-check them again and save the settings.

Every day when I log in it says I have them disabled but they aren't. Got to turn them on then turn them off again to make it go away.
