Question on The Father, The Son and The Creator

Hello! I've been trying to wrap my noodle around Alexander lore for a bit now, and having searched the Alexander based lore threads here, and a few sources I could find on Google, I've not been able to find a firm answer on something that has me curious.

Who/What are the Father, Son and the Creator? I'm half inclined to believe that whatever they are is actually one and the same due to all this time looping shenanigans, but that's doesn't really fill me in on what they actually are.

Then having said that, in Gordias and Midas, we move quite literally through The Fist, Cuff and Arm, but then we hit "The Burden". What is the Burden in this sense?

Sorry if these have been answered well before, I really did try to search for the information first, but I'm kinda dumb and it may have slipped past me.

It's an allusion to Greek Mythology, with The Father, The Son and The Creator all being famed Ancient Kings.

Gordias, The Father, is said to be the crafter of the Gordian Knot, a binding which was supposedly unsolvable, and that he who could would have the right to rule all of what was known as Asia at the time of his rule.
Midas, his Son, is well-known for his fable of Greed. The King whose touch turned all to Gold, and so he became unable to touch anything.
Their fables were popularized by Alexander, The Creator, so as to build his own legend and declare his right to rule; for he claimed to have solved the Gordian Knot by simply cutting through it.

The Questline for Midas in FFXIV in particular makes mention specifically of the names of Alexander's body parts being derived from Kings, which raises all sorts of questions regarding the ancient history of Eorzea, and the entire world it occupies...

As to "The Burden", this refers to the shoulder, which "Bears the Burden" of holding up the rest of the arm.

Most of the Lore / naming conventions for Alexander are simply pulled from Alexander the Great. Gordias was a farmer who was proclaimed King of...some place... because he wandered into town at a prophesied time. Midas, his son, tied up their ox-cart in town, and it was prophesied that whoever could untie the knot that Midas put into the rope (the Gordian Knot) would be the next king, and conquer Asia. Alexander the Great came into town, got frustrated while trying to untie it, and simply cut it with his sword.
The term 'Body Burden' refers to the amount of toxins and synthetic chemicals in your body, but I have no idea if that's what the lore team was going with on this one. I'm pretty clueless too.

Okay! So I get Gordias and the Knot now and how it's the primal core, but what does Midas and his golden touch allude to in terms of FF14's Alexander? Or worded differently- the mythological Alexander claimed the right to rule by cutting the Knot, what did the Midas Touch and the inability to touch anything have to do with Alexander and his rule?

Dunno honestly. Though as Haelse says, some versions of the myth have Midas as the crafter of the knot in honor of his father, rather than Gordias himself making it. So the idea might be to focus on them both as makers of the knot, rather than the Midas Touch (Though Midas Gear does have a fair amount of gold on it).

Can't claim to know the process of the lore team, but perhaps they chose this naming scheme and the core idea of Gordian Knot due to the raid's nature as a closed time loop. The entire event is, in essence, an unsolvable conundrum.

There is a bit more to be added to what everyone else has said. As mentioned the names of Gordias, Midas, and Alexander (the great), are a reference to three kings who all have a connection to one another. The Gordian Knot is referenced as the core of the primal, whether or not Gordias is the originator or not doesn't matter I guess, as it bears his name. Alexander himself, or The Creator, refers to the unification of the "world" at that time, and how the primal is meant to be a "utopia", a unified world would be very utopian. As for Midas and the golden tough, I guess the obvious answer is because everything in Primal Alex is gold, lol. No, but the golden touch probably refers to both prosperity and technological advancement. Gold is both a type of currency but also a metal, and metal is often used to show advancing technologies, and Alexander the summon is a machine.

Now there is something else that the 3 names make a reference to that most people are probably aware of but don't mention. Alexander the summon is typically associated with the Holy element. The references to the father, the son, and the creator (holy spirit), are a very thinly veiled reference to that.

Now while all of this lines up, its all speculation if this was the lore teams idea, for all we know they just chose cool sounding names, lol
