Cloth physics randomly disable themselves

Hi, I've been having this graphical error for a long time where cloth physics will randomly disable themselves. It usually happens while I'm in combat, but sometimes will just happen if I fall off a cliff or whatever.

Sometimes the physics will turn themselves back on after a while, but most of the time, it won't be fixed until I log out and back in again. Disabling and re-enabling the option doesn't force it, either.

Most annoyingly, I haven't found anybody else with this problem. Has anybody else noticed this, and know of a way to fix it? I've tinkered with my graphic settings but can't seem to find a solution. I really hate how dumb not having cloth physics makes my robes look, so I'd like to fix it.

Oh, come on, I can't be the only person in XIV to be having this issue.

The only time I've noticed this appears to be intentional. I.e. When riding on a mount. The most obvious example is the long tail on the Ninja AF head gear which moves quite fluidly when on your own two feet but sticks out ramrod straight when mounted.

I would suggest making sure your graphics card driver is up to date. You could also try to repair files via the Config menu in the launcher. If there's a missing or corrupt file causing it then that might fix it. Just a heads up that doing that will likely take some time. Sorry I'm not able to help more.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one having this issue, but it appears to be only affecting a small number of people and is probably why Square isn't looking into this. It's also not just clothes, it's also tails. I'm an Au Ra and when the clothes physics turn off so does my tail. I've never had this issue until around December of 2016, so it has to have been introduced with a new patch. This bug is very annoying especially for anyone playing a DoM class/job, as 90% of our clothing options are robes and look terrible when the physics engine kicks out. Unfortunately, nothing in game fixes this issue aside of when the game randomly decides hours later to start functioning again.

Changing your hair, clothes, zones, dungeons nothing can "force" it to start working again once this bug starts. I've even tried disabling the physics engine from the options menu and turning it back on, nothing.

Please get some attention on this bug! This is really annoying SE!
