As title says. Ever since 3.5 went live, I've been getting client error crashes a LOT, for seemingly random reasons. The most common I'm seeing is when I try to teleport somewhere. Other times I'll be panning the camera around, sometimes just standing still not doing anything. It's even happened mid-cutscene. Is anyone else experiencing this?
aye aye, usually how it happens for me is after a cutscene then teleporting or loading into a zone. but yeah loading zones seems to hurt things teleporting is another sure fire way to crash. so far i am up to 12 crashes today
Now it crashes EVERY time I open the teleport list. EVERY time.
Having the same issues here. It has the symptoms of a memory leak, if not graphical errors - with dx11 the entire client would freeze, as well as other functions on my computer, and with dx9 it would happen when teleporting or going in and out of cutscenes. Other windows I had open on my computer would still work until they needed to load anything, then they would stall or freeze indefinitely.
I'm in the middle of reinstalling the game in case of corrupt files, but after system restoring and installing the patch twice with the same results (and no prior problems) I think something might be more consistently wrong.
My game crashed 3 times in a row after I defeated the first boss in Dun Scaith.
I was afraid that my team would boot me because it took me forever to finally get back in. Luckily, they were patient.
Crash's like that is a regular thing when new content is introduced. I think it's even more so when coming up to the new expansion if they've been slipping in files for it in preparation for the expansion.
I too have been having this issue- about 2 crashes per day, sometimes more. I've noticed a pattern- usually it occurs during instances where I am teleporting into new areas (Crashed upon TPing to Limsa; Got hung up indefinitely on the loading screen to Mor Dhona; Crashed immediately upon loading an in-progress instance of Sohm All) as well as in instances where there is a lot of movement/activity (Large S rank hunt being pulled in area with 30+ users all attacking S rank mark; First boss of Weeping City raid during instance where players are all 'thrown up' into the upper levels of the spider webs.) I am using the Mac OS X client, and prior to patch 3.5 I have never had any issues with the application crashing unexpectedly or failing to load correctly.
