Hello! I was wondering how much weapons contributed to how much damage you do? Basically, if you've got an average ilvl of 230 but your weapon ilvl is below 200 are you going to do significantly less damage than other people at i230 (as in full lore gear including the lore weapon)?
Edit: I don't DPS almost ever, so please forgive me for asking a question that's probably got a pretty obvious answer
Your weapon is the main output source. the weapon damage stat counts like 7-10 times your mainstat for your output and the weapons have the highest stats from all gear.
And output means not only dps also heals.
The gear in order of output contribution (just from their base stats) from highest to lowest:
1: Weapon
2: chest, legs
3: head, hands, feet
4: belt
5: accessoires
Ideal secondary stats can make some gear better then a 10 ilevel higher one

Your weapon counts as two slots, so it has a double effect on your ilvl. A 10 ilvl increase for a piece of gear will increase your dps roughly:
- 2+% for weapon
- 1% for body/legs
- 0.7% for head/hands/feet
- 0.5% for belt/accessories
For your specific question, the i200 weapon guy would be doing about 7-8% more dps with an i230 weapon.

Did tests for this, the results are assuming the stats on the items are Crit > Det, it's ilvls per ilvl:
Weapon 3.54/13 = 0.272. So for example a 20 higher ilvl on weapon would result in an increase of 5.42 ilevels worth of DPS. When tested it resulted in about 124.9 DPS
Head/Hands/Feet 0.87/13 = 0.067, +20 ilevels = 1.34 tested DPS = 31
Chest/Legs 1.41/13 = 0.108, +20 ilevels = 2.16 tested DPS = 50.2
Accessories + Belt 0.672/13 = 0.0517, +20 ilevels = 1.034 tested = 23.9
With this we can get that 1 realistic ilvl is equal to 23.04 DPS going from 250 -> 270, plugging in the numbers from the initial DPS, we get 23.04/2413.9 = 0.95% per realistic ilevel. While there's multiple variables for this such as differing stats and growth. This is as accurate as it can get if done without putting a lot of time into it.
With this we have a weapon with 10 more ilvl would have 2.72 realistic ilevel, 2.72*0.95 = 2.584% damage increase.
ilvl is calculated on average il of gear with thweapon with the exception of pld being counted twice. I've bumped the ilvls up but maintained your ratio fir below example using drg (wd stat weights verry between 10 and 15 primary stats per job rounding)
sum of il3180 (270 weapon + all 240 gear) = 2313 str ((gear str 1053) + (wd 84*15))
sum of il3180 (240 weapon + all left 250 + all right 240) = 2267 str ((gear str 1067) + (wd*15))
aka: same ilvl with a 30ilvl lower weapon, with a favorible assumpting on gear ilvl (left side weighs more) shorts you 46 str.
