I've been playing on 3.5 for the past few weeks now, and the system is actually fairly straightforward.
Essentially what you're looking at is

No, I mean, really, why do people ever ask these questions? Do you actually expect time travelers to show up to answer them? Devs just lurking and waiting to explain all the fancy new elements ahead of release? It's not live yet, so how do you expect anyone to be able to tell you anything? The whole point of new content is that it's new. Everybody gets to learn at the same time.

So after that stage its the final form of this relic isn't it....

I'm so intrigued to see what happens! It's 100% going to be a grind: because this is content that is going to last until Stormblood. It has to be a grind, it has to keep you resubbing.

I guess it will be the same like every relic step. either farm 20k tomes ore loads of light >_>

For me, this kind of grind is not even worth a sub, especially that annoying part -> grind for Umbrites/sands. If it will be worse than this.... no, thanks.
In World of Warcraft Legendary weapons is, well, Legendary, with new timed procs or mechanics and a little better stats, than top tier ones. In FFXIV they are almost no different from normal ones, aside from animation and stats of your choice.

Reminds me of Mahatmas, personally.
