Future of FC airships?

Will there be any update to say the loot, other areas you can visit, in the next couple of patches before the expansion? Wondering as to the future of them regarding the expansions if there will be more designs or places to visit. I know the flights take place in the sea of clouds so it would seem limited to that area alone unless it expands upon future zones for 4.0.
Any input appreciated or what has been heard regarding this.
