Reason we should get more customisation

We're going to ala mhigo, and highlanders have barely worthwhile customisation. Ala mhigo is gonna look like way too many clones of the same 4 guys with different hair and slightly longer chins. So surely we must get at least a new face for the devs to work with :D

Don't highlanders get the exact same amount of customization options as midlanders?

If I remember correctly, midlanders have 6 faces, while highlanders (and everybody else) has only 4. And lets face it, the faces for highlanders aren't that awesome, sadly :<

I'd love for a slew of new customization options across the board. Double the faces for everyone except midlanders (just give them 2 more each to bring up to the rest), Muscle/Bust sliders for every race (except Lalafells, lets give them something different, maybe an ear slider), Horns for Au Ra separate from the face, markings for miqo'te separate from the face, etc...

I know its a long list, but I'll have a little hope it'll come in 4.0. If not, hey, I'll wait for 5.0.

aww, that sucks then. i hate that darkness around the eyes for some of the highlander faces. Just makes em look tired lol. The guys I mean.

4 faces, but while with elezen the faces can change more when choosing different jaws, ultimately the options all look kindof the same on highlander. so you can narrow down who's using what face, and then any extra detail they put into it goes pretty much unnoticed

I'm interested to see the midlander to highlander ratio in 4.0.

But yeah, I've spent a lot of time working with the highlander look, and it's much harder to get just right. There's little in-between very cartoonish and more realistic looks. I doubt any effort will be spent updating old models unless they do so universally with every race.

Well, ideally we need to see every playable race given more customisation options that aren't just new hairstyles. Some race/gender combinations suffer more than others where the dreaded 'same face' issue is concerned. Highlander men, for instance, lack a proper eyebrow option and all of their base facial options are on the rugged side. They really need some proper 'classically handsome' options - especially when they saw fit to give the Highlander guy from the Void Ark quests a unique 'classically handsome' face.

Raubhan has a unique model too. It's going to be frustrating if they introduce more male Highlander NPC's with special, inaccessible features if the playable character models aren't updated. With that said, though, 'additional customisation options' have been heavily requested for quite a while around these parts. So hopefully that counts for something.

Oh don't worry, only the starting city will be a clone town. Once we get to the hub town were the tome vendors will set up shop it'll be a mix off all races and genders doing their own thing again, and we'll spend the rest of 4.0 there, just like the last two hub towns.

Side note: I'm not opposed to this, I'm just being a bit sarcastic is all.

On the other hand, highlanders are the most expressive and have the best emote animations. I do wish I had more options tho.

Like unclutching my firsts for starters, you know like I do when I fighting bare handed lol. It makes little sense that my hands are clutched tight at my sides at all times but when I wanna punch something barehanded I make a weird claw gesture like a mighty monk lobster.

And can we please get eyebrows for the dudes already, that weird facial mark thing they use looks atrocious. And more facial hair options across the board or at least allow each beard to be on each face option instead of making them face specific.

SE was really lazy with their character creation, you would think even in 2010 when they originally released this they could have had more, they were already years behind other games. SE used to set the bar, I wonder what happened....
