Getting Caught up to new Expansion

Am I crazy in thinking i'll be able to complete all the content in time for the new expansion in June? I'm only just beginning the main scenario, so I'm not even close to starting Heavensward. It's not a huge deal to play the expansion right away, I'm just curious.

Jump potion will solve all your problems. Just find a training dumy to wail on when learning combos. Also highly recommend making friends to walk you through the content you skipped over.

Even if you're taking your time to enjoy things and doing every single sidequest, you'll likely finish before the expansion release date even. We are talking about 6 months here. Now if you want to do every single levequest in detail and do a bunch of crafting and gathering too, that's a different story. Or if you want to do all of the Level 50 and 60 stuff, that would probably not be doable either or at least cutting it very close to Stormblood.

But like anything, it's all dependent on how many hours per day you can play. I wish I could give an accurate estimate of how many hours something would take, but I never keep track of that.

You can clear out the sidequests in a given village (say, Quarrymill in South Shroud, or Horizon in West Than) in between 30 and 60 minutes no problems. There are, quickly counting at the top of my head, somewhere around 30 villages of that type before heavensward.
Then there are of course quests that take longer - especially in Heavensward. The moogles in Churning Mists I think have 59 quests alone, which will take you two hours at the shortest even if you push them at max level.
Quest chains like Gullinkambi in Anyx Trine will also take a while - there's five quests in that chain and you can't do them simultanously.

Even all this considered, if you just keep at it clearing every quest before stormblood shouldn't be a problem.

(And for the record, of course this would leave time to do all the "real" (very airquotes) content as well.)

Except it won't, as Yoshi-P stated that if jump potions were to be added, it'll be at some point in Stormblood, not at the launch of it.

You have just over 6 months OP. Depending on how often you intend to play the game, it should be enough to get through all of the MSQ, even if you watch every single cutscene.

Thanks for the replies.. and i'm glad there was no arguments. haha. I guess i'll just stick with it and see what happens. I've started and stopped this game so many times that just getting to the Heavensward content will be considered a success for me.
