Steps:
I have done all the prerequisites for this quest line, such as getting the chicken egg, speaking to the NPC in Limsa and whatnot, but I have not received a Scarlet Earring in my key items inventory.

The current objective I have is: "Deliver the Scarlet Earring to Teteroon at Memeroon's Trading Post" and the icon above the NPC is green, indicating the quest is ready to be completed, but I cannot progress.

I have retraced my steps multiple times, going back to every npc involved with this quest line and I can't do anything. I can't even abandon the quest to restart it.

This is really frustrating.
