I don't know what to say about the Dun Scaith gear. Maybe it'll look better ingame.

So, the final boss in the raid will be like in the World of Darkness (giant, out of the location)? Does SE have a lack of imagination and cant create something new?

Yep, it's the same Death Gaze and it's not just an ordinary encounter either, you fight him on an Airship like you do in Final Fantasy VI. I love the attention to fan service Yoshida and the dev team bring to this game. on another note, they're probably going to rename the enemy Tyrant from FFXII in South Shroud, the monster perched on a rock (?) I think it's at when they introduce this guy.

It's becoming apparent now they are keeping back gear designs for 4.0.

Everything else looks fantastic though!

Sadly Recycling Gear models with a new coat of paint will always be a thing.. Saves them time I guess ^^;
