I believe and have talked to others that feel the same way, goal for synthesis is 100% that even with a 0 you still have achieved 100%. Would like to see 0 + 100% = success.

I agree with this. I get mad when I get an item to 100% but it's durability hits 0 and it blows up in my face. Sometimes durability drops to 0 from 20 and that's a bunch of BS. So I do agree 0+100% should = success.
I don't like having my synth fail at 100% with 0 durability either. It plays with the mind, you believe you have delicately completed crafting an item but have failed to piece it together correctly at the end. It's like the feeling you get when building a tower of cards, and when placing the last two cards at the apex, it explodes. And explodes badly.
However, it really doesn't matter that much. You're basically asking to add 1 additional durability difference between failure and success. In a logical stand point, 0 durability means broken, and I believe it truly should remain as it is.

No it shouldn't. If durability reaches 0 the synth is over...even if you reached 100% this way. 0 durability means that your synth no longer has materials integrity...
It was explained a while ago by Bay.
They should just cap maximum progress at 99% if you hit 0 durability.
