If I start this step on my DRG and treat some sands but don't apply all of them to my anima, can I abandon the quest to start it on another job and still have all my unused Treated Crystal Sands?

If I start this step on my DRG and treat some sands but don't apply all of them to my anima, can I abandon the quest to start it on another job and still have all my unused Treated Crystal Sands?
In theory, you should ... its not like they have been used, after all!
HOWEVER, the fact that you can buy Umbrite, but not even obtain Crystal Sand unless you have that quest up, suggests you may not. You'll have to try it and let us know, if no one speaks up!
