Need some gearing advice
ok, so I've been leveling a ton of jobs lately because of a lack of things to do. It's been pretty fun and gives me a lot of insight in the jobs I normally don't play.
However, I've been noticing I'm having trouble gearing up mutiple jobs for high-level content. It's been pretty easy for what I already had leveled to 60 (Bard/Machinist, Scholar/White Mage) since those share gear pieces. The thing is, I don't have a tank to play (well, there's Dark Knight but one particular run a while back turned me off from playing it *ever*), yet I'm liking Paladin and I'm looking to gear it.
Now, I'm not a heavy raider (don't particularly like the relevant Alexander raids), but I am actively gathering scriptures and lores. I'm just at a loss as to what I should prioritize with those resources, especially considering the stupid scripture cap.
Just for the record, I've got Bard/Machinist at ilvl230-ish, Scholar at ilvl237, White Mage at ilvl238 and Summoner/Black Mage at ilvl246. I'm looking for a similar range for Paladin so I can play the relevant content.
Any advice would help!

Lore comes at whatever pace you wish to earn it. Scripture comes at whatever pace you wish to earn it, with a limit of 450 per week.
Use Scripture to gear up whatever class/job you consider your "main". Use Lore, or better yet, crafting classes, to gear up anything else that you want geared up *now*. There should be plenty of time to get more than one set of Scriptures gear, so if you want to wait a bit with some tertiary classes/jobs, you can do that, too.

If you're just looking to get to the 230-250 range, you're looking at a mix of Lore gear (bought with Lore tomes), Weeping City gear, and Prototype Alexandrian gear (tokens drop from Creator normal). You can get crafted gear as well (the 250 gear) but it is expensive, and you may not want to go that way for a secondary.
Scripture gear is an option too, but get that fir your main first.

I think getting the Lore gear is probably the best option, but if you want to gear your characters fast and you have alot of gil, you might ask a crafter to make you the item level 250 gear. Personaly, I would go for the Lore, if you can do most content with Item level 230/240.
